Now Shonan is a mecca for youth. This is a sketch of its bright summer. The exotic ritual of making the lanterns float on water accompanies the flamboyant fireworks. We have focused mainly on surfing among the many marine sports. The festival of Suwa Shrine is the closing. Watch the spinning parade float with your eyes filled with amazement. What was it that the young people saw beyond the horizon?

The legend is not only from the past. The young people who saw the southern islands past the horizon created today's legend.

Look at how it has changed. This used to be the Shonan coast with small fishermen's villages here and there. But now, it is recognized as a seaside resort.
